Riding on....

More rides! Here's a compilation of all your great ride ideas. Did I miss any? Feel free to post more....

From Cathy
“a good friend of mine developed a website for riders in Chicago, with tons of biking events in the city...check it out http://www.thechainlink.org ” (I second that—great site!)

From Mindy

“For those interested in a different kind of ride/adventure, check out the New Belgium Urban Assault Ride” (September 20): http://www.urbanassaultride.com/inside.php?page=chicago

From Liz
Lake Geneva bike ride on September 26: http://www.fattirememorialtour.com/about.html

From me:

Amishlands and Lakes (August 7-9) http://www.mbabike.com/index.html ---beautiful ride in early August through Amish country in northern Indiana and southern Michigan....fresh blueberries at the height of the season at one of the Michigan rest stops..... and adorable Amish kids selling homemade cookies along the route. And, I will admit, there is something really fun about getting to call out "On Your Left" as you pass a buggy. :o) We even saw a community barn-raising along the route one year.....

The Hilly Hundred (October 23-25) http://www.hillyhundred.org in Bloomington, Indiana. Perhaps the most beautiful ride I've ever done....mid October right as the leaves are at peak color.....hilly, yes, but remember what goes up gets to go down! There are choices of 35 or 50 miles each day....

Reliving the ride....

Hey Team!

I've thoroughly enjoyed the flurry of emails with all the photos from the MS Ride. I thought I'd create this blog post with all the photo links everyone shared so you don't have to wade through all your email to find these again. Let me know if I missed any or add a link in a comment if you want....

I'm also working on compiling all the links you all have been emailing for future rides/tris. Can't wait to roll with you all again soon!

Ride on!

Shelley

PS: Remember, don't ride faster than your Guardian Angel can fly....and always stop to say hello to the Illinois cows. :o)
